Itinerary For 5 Days Morocco tour to Ait Benhaddou and Merzouga:

Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou , Ouarzazate and Dades Gorges

Today, you travel with Marrocos Tours and we begin our journey in Marrakech, passing through Tizi-n-Tishka in the high Atlas Mountains. We then travel to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has also served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Alexander. After lunch, we'll explore the stunning natural landscapes and ancient landmarks of Ourzazate's Taourirt Kasbah and the Valley of the Roses, which is famed for its annual Rose Festival. Additionally, we'll journey via the Berber towns of El Kelaa des M'Gouna and Boumalene du Dades, where we'll overnight. That concludes the first day's journey from Marrakech.

Day 2: From Dades Gorges to Todra Gorges and Merzouga

Today, we'll make our way to Merzouga, passing via Tinghir, a Berber town, and the Todra Gorges. We will next proceed through various Berber villages, stopping for lunch in Tinjdad or Rissani to savor the local delicacy, Berber pizza. After lunch, we'll travel to Merzouga, where we'll stay in a traditional desert hotel. We're having a great time on our Marrakech Sahara excursion.

Day 3: Tour in 4x4 Across Merzouga desert

Today, we begin our trip to Erg Chebbi's dunes in the morning. We'll stop by a Berber house and listen to Gnawa music, which originated in Ghana and Sudan. We'll see abandoned mines, Berber nomads, and palm-fringed oasis. We'll return to Merzouga for lunch. After some time to unwind, we'll seek out the camels waiting to take us on an excursion across the sand dunes. We'll spend the night in a fully prepared camp with drumming music in the heart of the Sahara, which provides an excellent opportunity to get beautiful sunset and dawn photographs. We ascend the sand dunes to witness the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents.

Day 4: from Merzouga to Ouarzazate

After witnessing the sunrise, we return to Merzouga via camel. We'll have time to shower and eat a delicious breakfast. Then we begin our return trek to Ouarzazate. We stop at Berber stores along the journey to purchase gifts such as fossils, carpets, lamps, and leather. We arrive in the afternoon in Ouarzazate and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 5: from Ouarzazate to Marrakech

After breakfast, we will continue our Marrakech Sahara trip by departing for Marrakech via the stunning High Atlas mountains, where we will drop you off at your riad/hotel. That concludes the excursion from Marrakech.
